At 5:07 on Monday morning September 17, 2007 Ronald
and Ilonka Nagelkerke were blessed with the birth of
their first child.
It is a girl who received the name Lotte.
She weighed 4540 grammes.
"It is such a beautiful little girl" says great grandmother de Lezenne Coulander, who of course came to visit het first great grandchild at once.
Grandparents Maarten and Lia are mighty proud and come to visit regularly. Lotte even begins to recognise them quite well.
Early on, Lotte looked very much like the Nagelkerke family, but now slowly begins to show some Coulander traits as well.
Lotte is a quiet girl who likes her drinks and grows well. She really only cries when she is hungry.
Mother Ilonka expects to resume her work as a midwife for three days a week at the Groene Hart Hospital in Gouda towards the end of the year. "Due to my personal experience, I think that I may now have a different view on a delivery", says Ilonka. At the same time Ronald will start working one day a week less, and in this way the parents hope to enjoy their little girl as much as possible.
